“Command the Israelites to send away from the camp anyone who has an infectious skin disease or a discharge of any kind, or who is ceremonially unclean because of a dead body. Send away male and female alike; send them outside the camp so they will not defile their camp, where I dwell among them.”
Two things stood out to me in regards to the above verses. The first was the command to send away anyone with an infectious disease. A disease that is infectious is something that can be spread from one person to another. The command of sending someone away indicates that a clean person can be infected, so don’t associate with them. No one is immune and we can all succumb to temptation. Chances are if you’re going to play with fire, you’re going to get burned.
The second thought is that since God is perfect, He can not dwell where there is sin. You will not find sheep playing with a pack of wolves, nor will you see flowers blooming in our city in the month of January. In the same way, it is impossible for God to dwell in the heart of someone who continually chooses to obey their sinful nature and follow their personal desires.

Two things stood out for me:
“If she has defiled herself by being unfaithful to her husband, the water that brings on the curse will cause bitter suffering. Her abdomen will swell and her womb will shrink, and her name will become a curse among her people.”
Numbers 5:27 NLT
Here we are living in an era where people are protesting for the right to kill their own babies in the womb and yet this passage indicates that the greatest punishment is for a woman’s womb to be shriveled and unable to have children.
And
“The husband will be innocent of any guilt in this matter, but his wife will be held accountable for her sin.””
Numbers 5:31 NLT
Not saying it’s right, but most affairs are not one sided. When a married partner is not fulfilled at home, they will often seek out what they are missing. This passage seems to indicate that the husband is in no way responsible for the infidelity of his wife. I don’t believe that is always the whole story. I don’t think the wife is without sin but I think husbands and wives have the responsibility to submit to each other.
