“Tell the Israelites: ‘When any of you or your descendants are unclean because of a dead body or are away on a journey, they may still celebrate the Lord’s Passover. They are to celebrate it on the fourteenth day of the second month at twilight.”
God shows His grace to the Israelites in this scenario by providing an alternative day one month later so that they would not be excluded from celebrating the Passover. The fact that the alternate date was one month later also demonstrates the reality of the distance and separation that uncleanness brings between people and God.
