Today’s reading reminded me of the power of God. Despite Balak’s persistence in having Balaam ask God for permission to curse the Israelites from various areas. In the end, Balak and Balaam each went their own way.
The Spirit of God changed what was intended to be a curse on His people into a blessing. In addition to that, the future predictions left behind were also blessings for the Israelites compared to destruction for the neighbouring nations.
Whether we need a change of heart, a change of perspective, or a change in lifestyle, God is in the business to do just that!

God won’t give us more than we can handle. We can survive anything that God puts into our life because he is the author of life and knows how the story will end. We can cling to that promise in times of trouble.
