This Psalm, from what I can tell, is speaking of Christ and the church. But further to that, it’s the marriage between Christ and the church.
“The royal daughter is all glorious within the palace; her clothing is woven with gold. She shall be brought to the King in robes of many colours; the virgins, her companions who follow her, shall be brought to you.” Psalm 45:13-14 NKJV
When I picture this, I picture pretty much every wedding that I’ve been to, and brings me back to my own as well. The groom standing at centre stage, smiling down the aisle for whom he’s about to be united with – his bride in a pure white dress, dazzling with sequence having a train like no other.
Just as a marriage is to be pure, we cannot enter the gates of Heaven and be united with Christ unless we first have been made pure. Not only will we be excited in the anticipation of being united with Christ, but He will be even more excited to watch us walk down the aisle towards Him!
“What a joyful and enthusiastic procession (that will be) as they enter the king’s palace!” (Psalm 45:15 NLT).

This stood out for me:
“Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever. You rule with a scepter of justice.”
Psalms 45:6 NLT
When we attend a wedding, we pray that those feelings of love and joy will last forever. The kingdom that God establishes will last forever and is fair and just.
