Psalm 22

“The poor will eat and be satisfied; those who seek the Lord will praise him – may your hearts live forever!” Psalm 22:26 NIV

The poor can be explained as the humble, the teachable, and the believing people, whose hearts have been softened and transformed by the grace of God, who have the desire and passion to live for Him.

Those people will receive and will be fed grace, peace, and comfort; that which comes by God’s love in the forgiveness of our sins. But it’s only those who seek Him, who try to gain the knowledge of Him, that achieve communion with Him.

May we be reminded that the grace, peace, and comfort received by the Holy Spirit, is not temporary or short, as the worldly comforts are, but everlasting!

  1. I thought it was interesting the many parallels to Christ:

“My God, my God, why have you abandoned (forsaken) me?
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭22:1‬a ‭NLT‬‬

“….You have laid me in the dust and left me for dead.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭22:15‬c NLT‬‬

…They have pierced my hands and feet.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭22:16c‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“They divide my garments among themselves and throw dice for my clothing.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭22:18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“The whole earth will acknowledge the Lord and return to him. ” (Surely He was the Son of God)
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭22:27‬a NLT‬‬
