“The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, and He will show them His covenant.” Psalm 25:14 NKJV
We like to hear a good secret; keeping it as a secret can be tough, but we still like to be in the know. Typically, we only tell a secret to those whom we can trust, or to those whom we already have a close relationship with. Sharing a secret is not something we would typically do with a complete stranger.
The NIV translation reads, “The Lord confides in those who fear him;”. In Proverbs 9:10 it says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” When we fear God, walk in His ways, acknowledge His wrath, and understand His love for us, we gain wisdom and thereby receive His “secret”.
The secret of the Lord is that He will guide and direct us in the correct way, reveal our duties in all conditions, which will lead us to eternal salvation.

Good thoughts.
This stood out for me:
“Show me the right path, O Lord; point out the road for me to follow.”
Psalms 25:4 NLT
And
“The Lord is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray.”
Psalms 25:8 NLT
We often talk about the “road of life” and like a destination on a map there are many ways to get there. You can take the long way which might lead you through obstacles such as traffic, construction, or just bumpy roads. You can take the easy way and get there faster but miss things along the way. Just as we long to take the right road to a destination, we also want to take the right road in life and God is the map. When we trust Him and follow His leading we will be on the right road.
