“Don’t sin by letting anger control you. Think about it overnight and remain silent.” Psalm 4:4 NLT
In the current times, rules and regulations are changing hourly. What we were able to do yesterday, we may not be allowed to do today. Restaurants have closed, kids are staying home from school, extra curricular activities have been cancelled, and even churches have had to go to online services as a result of social distancing.
When we are not in control of situations, we can become frustrated, which can lead to anger. The verse does not say to not get angry, but it does say to not let your anger control you. So how are we to react, when anger is setting in?
We are to remain silent, not lash out, and think about it at night. We are to search our hearts and meditate on it. We are to reflect on our conduct, our actions, our thoughts, and our motives from the day. We may not have control over the regulations imposed on us, but we do have control on our actions and where we place our hope.

Good thoughts.
This stood out for me:
“Many people say, “Who will show us better times?” Let your face smile on us, Lord.”
Psalms 4:6
People love to ‘blame’ God when trouble comes. They can’t seem to believe that a loving God would allow bad things to happen. In this chaotic time, there are people who are asking: where is God? But our hope is in God who will undoubtedly show us better times. He promises to let his face smile on us as we are faithful to His commands and when we repent of our sin that separates us from Him. God’s love endures even when our circumstances change.

So true. Too bad that so many people do not want to follow His commands.
