“Who is like the Lord our God, who dwells on high, who humbled Himself to behold the things that are in the heavens and in the earth?” Psalm 113:5-6 NKJV
What other king would do that? Reign on high – yes. But to humble themselves and stoop down to those who are poor and needy – no.
Not only did He humble himself to meet us at our needs, He took upon the nature of man, bore our shame, and paid the ransom for our sins. The ransom He paid, is what allows us to be seated with Him and His people.
It’s ironic that the One who is worthy of being exalted, is heightened because of His willingness to lower Himself below all others.

“He gives the childless woman a family, making her a happy mother. Praise the Lord!”
Psalms 113:9 NLT
Again I am reminded of the high value of children. The gift of children is a blessing and happy circumstance and worthy of praise. So often society sees pregnancy as a burden and a cramp in style and an inconvenience and not a cause for celebration.
