Psalm 37

This Psalm contrasts the heritage of the righteous to that of the calamity of the wicked. I found it to have many verses with great counsel and advice for my everyday life, which is probably why the following verse stood out to me:

“The godly offer good counsel; they teach right from wrong.” Psalm 37:30 NLT

There are two ways to receive counsel. You can keep asking various people for advice until you hear what you want to hear, or you can seek counsel from godly people and take their advice into consideration. As the verse translates in the NIV, “The mouths of the righteous will utter wisdom, and their tongues speak what is just.”

There will be days where we need advice and direction. During those times, may we trust and delight in the Lord, allowing Him to direct our steps, as we commit everything we do unto the Lord.

  1. “Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you.”

Distance learning. Classroom Learning. Sanitation protocols. Kids already in summer mode. I will trust in Him and commit all these circumstances to the Lord.
