“So you see, the Lord has put a lying spirit in the mouths of your prophets. For the Lord has pronounced your doom.” 2 Chronicles 18:22 NLT
An Aramean soldier, however, randomly shot an arrow at the Israelite troops and hit the king of Israel between the joints of his armor. ‘Turn the horses and get me out of here!’ Ahab groaned to the driver of the chariot. ‘I’m badly wounded!'” 2 Chronicles 18:33 NLT
Random. The soldier shot a random arrow. There is quite possibly a mathematical equation that could be used to calculate the possibility of this occurrence: a soldier randomly drawing his bow and arrow. Randomly choosing the angle to shoot. Randomly choosing the direction to shoot at. Needing to take into consideration the force of gravity and resistance. Allowing for the wind speed (whether it being head on, a tail wind, or cross wind). Adding the fact that king Ahab would have been randomly moving about. And yet, the arrow randomly hit Ahab precisely between the joints of his armor.
So I ask – random? I think not.
There is nothing that our God can not do – He uses everyone and anything to fulfil His plan.

Funny this was my exact comment! Random is not random. For all the pieces to align so carefully to hit the target cannot be random. God is the creator of divine intervention and can make the impossible possible. Death by arrow in a crowd-possible. Blind to see- possible. Water into wine-possible. Red Sea parted-possible. Swallowed by a fish and live to tell about it-possible. Rising from
death and conquering sin-possible. With God all things are possible.
