“The officer assisting the king said to the man of God, ‘That couldn’t happen even if the Lord opened the windows of heaven!’ But Elisha replied, ‘You will see it happen with your own eyes, but you wont be able to eat any of it!'” 2 Kings 7:2 NLT
This verse reminded me of those who refuse to accept who God is. They have already determined in their minds that there is no God, that He is not working in the background, and that He is not everywhere.
Even though they hear of a believer’s answered prayers, they simply chalk those up as coincidences. They can hear it with their own ears, see it with their own eyes, but because they refuse to believe, they are unable to taste and receive His goodness.
(If anyone reading this is curious as to the “coincidences” in my life, I would love to hear from you and be able to share some of them with you)

“….So everything happened exactly as the man of God had predicted when the king came to his house.”
2 Kings 7:17b NLT
We’ve been witnesses to some strange events over the last six months: Broadway/Disney/borders shutting down, people ordered to stay at home, mask wearing mandatory. All of these things could have been looked at as as unlikely as severely discounted food in a famine…yet it actually happened. Revelation speaks of so many unbelievable things that will come and they will happen just as John saw in his vision. Nothing we do, of don’t do, or try to stop will prevent God’s promise to come to pass
