“In the very first month of the first year of his reign, Hezekiah reopened the doors of the Temple of the Lord and repaired them.” 2 Chronicles 29:3 NLT
When Hezekiah became king, he applied very quickly the work of the Lord. Though it was his father Ahaz who closed the doors to the Temple, he made it his first task to reopen and repair those doors.
“And Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced because of what God had done for the people, for everything had been accomplished so quickly.” 2 Chronicles 29:36 NLT
Those who begin with God, begin at the right end of their work, and it will prosper accordingly. The Lord alone can prepare the heart of man for His plan: when this is the case, much good will be done with little time, as in the case of today’s passage. It is in these times, that we can recognize God’s goodness and His faithfulness, which will lead us to rejoice in Him, giving Him all the glory.

That first verse also stood out for me: “In the very first month of the first year of his reign, Hezekiah reopened the doors of the Temple of the Lord and repaired them.”
2 Chronicles 29:3 NLT
It made me think of designated survivor and his 100 day plan. Goal oriented, eye on the prize, and focused on getting stuff done. We should have that same determination towards our goals/God’s plan.
