Isaiah 43

“For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness, I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19 NLT

If we took a puzzle and dumped out all the individual pieces from the box, if it weren’t for the picture on the front of the box, it would be confusing. The work of the Lord is often not evident until we look back on a situation and process all the events that took place in order to see how the Lord has pieced it all together.

The deliverance from Babylon is foretold, but there is reference to something much greater. The redemption of sinners by Christ, the conversion of the Gentiles, and the Jews being recalled to the Lord, are all described. All that is to be done – the rescuing of sinners and bringing the believer to glory – is little in comparison to the wondrous work of love, the redemption of man.

  1. This stood out for me: ““But forget all that— it is nothing compared to what I am going to do.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43:18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

What a great promise! When we reflect on the awesome things God has done we are promised that He is still doing even more amazing things yet to come. What an encouragement that is to know God is not done working.
