“‘They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.” Jeremiah 1:19 NIV
In this chapter we have the call of Jeremiah into ministry, his feeling of inadequacy, and the encouragement he received from the Lord to go forward with assurance knowing that God would be with him.
It is important to understand that even if God calls us to fulfill his word, it does not mean that we will not face adversity. The Lord is forthcoming in telling Jeremiah that there will be people who will fight against him. This will not be easy as he will face trials and difficult situations, but Jeremiah can have comfort knowing that the Lord will also be with him and taking care of him.
The fear of God is the best remedy against the fear of man. For it is better to have all men as our enemies as opposed to having God as our enemy. If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it. May we be willing to give up our personal interests for the Lord’s, and may nothing move us or prevent us from the Lord’s calling of us and our duty.

This stood out for me: “The Lord replied, “Don’t say, ‘I’m too young,’ for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you.”
Jeremiah 1:7 NLT
We’re all full of excuses. I’m too young, I’m too old, I’m not a good public speaker, it’s not the right time, it’s hard, etc. God doesn’t want our excuses He wants our obedience and faith in His promises. Easier said than loved out…
