“‘I will save you; you will not fall by the sword but will escape with your life, because you trust in me,’ declares the Lord.” Jeremiah 39:18 NIV
There will be those who do not believe in God’s promises and will only be convinced when the event takes place, and there will be those like Jeremiah who put their faith in God’s word knowing that the event will take place. We all fit into one of those categories and all have to make that choice.
Whether the Lord allows an individual to be poor or rich, nothing will profit them while they cleave to their sins. While those that trust in God, as Jeremiah did in the way of duty, will find that their hope shall not fail during their time of fear and danger.
Jeremiah’s trust in the Lord was the root of his fearlessness of the wrath of man. May we exhibit the same trust that Jeremiah did – with all his heart, leaning not on his own understanding, and submitting to the Lord in all his ways.

“Because you trusted me, I will give you your life as a reward. I will rescue you and keep you safe. I, the Lord, have spoken!’””
Jeremiah 39:18 NLT
That same verse stood out for me. I think because it gives me confidence that when God says something, we can trust Him.

On holidays we trust guides without question, yet we question Almighty God about the direction He takes us in?
Only He knows the direction of the Narrow Way that leads to Glory Land.
