Daniel 12

“I heard what he said, but I did not understand what meant. So I asked, ‘How will all this end, my Lord?’ But he said, ‘Go now, Daniel, for what I have said is kept secret and sealed until the time of the end.” Daniel 12:8-9 NLT

There are times when a parent tells their child the moral reason why something is the way it is, but there are also times when the parent does not. In either scenario, this is typically decided and done in the best interest of the child.

Daniel’s question in verse 8 above is not answered by the angel, but rather that he should go now. Daniel had work to do. We as believers have work to do. There ought to be comfort for us knowing that whatever our lot is in this life, we should welcome the will of God, finding rest and content, knowing that the best secret for us will be revealed in Heaven.

  1. That same verse stood out for me: “I heard what he said, but I did not understand what he meant. So I asked, “How will all this finally end, my Lord?””
    ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭12:8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

It made me think of today’s message from church. We should be seekers. We should confirm, look for evidence, question just as Thomas did. Instead of hearing and not understanding, Daniel questioned further for more clarification. May we also seek clarification for the things we don’t fully understand so that we grow in our knowledge and faith.
