Zechariah 6

“I asked the angel who was speaking to me, ‘What are these, my lord?’ The angel answered me, ‘These are the four spirits of heaven, going out from standing in the presence of the Lord of the whole world.’” Zechariah 6:4-5 NIV

Two key thoughts on the above verses. The first is that the prophet Zechariah humbly and teachably sought out instruction from God, and the second thought is that God answered him. When we desire to know and understand the will of the Lord, He will make His plans known. James 1:5 tells us that, “If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and He will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.”

May we seek wisdom from the Lord, who knows all things; not in vain for our own personal gain, but in order to bring glory to Him.

One thought on “Zechariah 6

  1. “…All this will happen if you carefully obey what the Lord your God says.”
    ‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭6:15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

If- is the key word. Sometimes we say why do bad things happen to good people? But then who is good. We are all sinful by nature and therefore none of us are “good”. Since we are sinful, we disobey God’s plan and purpose. This results in consequences instead of reward.
