“The disciples went and woke him, saying, ‘Master, Master, we’re going to drown!’ He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. ‘Where is your faith?’ He asked his disciples.” Luke 8:24-25a NIV
I found the above verses to act as a good reminder that though we walk with Christ, we will still find ourselves in the midst of a storm. In this case, the disciples were physically in Jesus’ presence and literally caught in a storm.
Simply being in the presence of our Lord is not always enough to get through that which comes our way; even the disciples were in the presence of Jesus. It was only when they actually called out to Him, that the storm broke and all was calm. What comfort it should be for the believer, knowing that the powers of darkness are all under the control of our Lord Jesus!

I know and realize that movie script writers take some creative liberties when adapting a sorry. It bothered me that The Chosen depicted Jesus and his disciples travelling with Mary Magdeline and I thought this was a creative adaptation to include both genders as a politically correct interpretation but here in this verse it says Jesus DID travel with women too: “along with some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases. Among them were Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons; Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod’s business manager; Susanna; and many others who were contributing from their own resources to support Jesus and his disciples.”
Luke 8:2-3 NLT
I don’t recall ever realizing this fact! Interesting to think about how different things attract your attention every time you read scripture.
