Luke 9

“But Jesus told him, ‘Anyone who puts a hand to the plow and then looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God.’” Luke 9:62 NLT

If we desire to follow Christ, we must lay aside the thoughts of great things in this world. For we cannot follow Christ while seeking after worldly possessions. Within any type of work or task, we are unable to perform it properly if we become side tracked, focus on, or attend other things. Those who begin with the work of God, must be resolved to go on, or they will make nothing of it. Looking back leads to drawing back and drawing back leads to spiritual death. It is only those who endure until the end that shall be saved.

  1. Funny (not funny) is the fact that human nature is a fickle thing. Here the disciples are witnessing first hand miracles of healing, demons being cast out, and fulfillment of prophecy and yet:
“Then his disciples began arguing about which of them was the greatest.”
    ‭‭Luke‬ ‭9:46‬ ‭NLT‬‬

May we seek to proclaim all that is around us and not be focused our needs and wants and desires.
