“Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.” Luke 13:24 NIV
The above verse was Jesus’ response to the question “will only a few be saved?” Our concern should not be how many will be saved, but will I be one of them? Jesus warns us to make every effort in order to enter through the narrow door, or we will fail. Those that will be allowed to enter, will have strived towards that door and undergone a change in their whole self.
It is true that not everyone will be allowed to enter. But if we do, we shall meet many whom we little thought to meet and miss many whom we expected to find. May our top priority be to make every effort in living according to Scripture, so that we too will be welcomed into the Kingdom of God.

“And note this: Some who seem least important now will be the greatest then, and some who are the greatest now will be least important then.””
Luke 13:30 NLT
This resonated with me as I think about social media. Some accounts with thousands of followers will not be in Heaven. Some without social media will be among the greatest. Worldly popularity amounts to little when this life is over. It’s also like the rich man on the titanic trying to buy his spot on the life boat: all the money in the world has no value if and when you are dead. May we focus on the eternal not the fleeting.
