“So then he told them plainly, ‘Lazarus is dead, and for your sake I am glad I was not there, so that you may believe. But let us go to him.’” Luke 11:14-15 NIV
The disciples must have thought that it was needless for Christ to go to Lazarus as he had been dead for days and plus this would also expose himself to the Jews who had recently attempted to stone Him. But when Christ raised Lazarus from the dead, many were brought to believe in Him.
Just as Christ said ‘let us go to him’ so that his Heavenly Father would be glorified, may we say ‘let us go to him’ to perfect our faith in the Father. The fact that Jesus showed up four days after Lazarus’ death also illustrates that it is never too late for us to go to Him. We just need to go.

Most favourite verse for kids to memorize: “Then Jesus wept.”
John 11:35 NLT
Simplicity of the words of this verse aside, the reality is anything but simple: why did Jesus cry if he knew Lazarus would be raised again? Why did Jesus cry when the power to heal him was available if he had only arrived earlier? Why did Jesus cry in front of everyone who has come to grieve? Was he trying to show empathy? Trying to display his human shed? Why did Jesus cry?
