“Then the Lord said, ‘Learn a lesson from this unjust judge. Even he rendered a just decision in the end. So don’t you think God will surely give justice to his chosen people who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?’” Luke 18:6-7 NLT
God desires that we, His people, would be a praying people. In this parable we are to learn the nature and the power of prayer, and the steadiness of prayer.
The widow’s earnestness prevailed even with the unjust judge, for she might fear that her persistence in asking could set him more against her. Our persistent prayers to God are pleasing to Him. However, our lack of persistence in prayer is grounds to display a weakness in our faith.
May we be like the persistent widow when it comes to casting our cares and worries before the Lord.

Yes! May we be persistent in coming to Him. It made me think of my wee grandson, when we visit he persists in bringing his toys to us to sit on our knee, or even just for a wee cuddle. We need to be like that with our Father. Thank you for this inspiring post brother.

“I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.””
Luke 18:17 NLT
Children have joy in the simple things. Children rely on others who know more than they do.
Children have faith that people will do what they say they will.
Children cry out when they need help.
Children need their needs met by others.
Children only need the basic necessities.
May we be like children: experiencing joy even in the mundane, relying on God to direct our path instead of our own selfish desires, know that God has the best planned for us, praying continuously for our needs, be relationship minded instead of independent.
