2 Peter 3

“And so, dear friends, while you are waiting for these things to happen, make every effort to be found living peaceful lives that are pure and blameless in his sight.” 2 Peter 3:14 NLT

Christ will return, though we do not know the time nor the day, it is a promise that He has made. This verse reminded me that though we are waiting for Christ’s return, we are not to remain idle. We are to be living out our lives in a manor that is pleasing to the Lord – pure and blameless in His sight.

The patience that the Lord displays in His return is designed for salvation. What better way is there to lead the lost to Christ, other than our daily walk with our Saviour.

  1. “But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day.”
    ‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3:8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I’m not very good about being patient. Not good at all. I want to know what’s going to happen and waiting for answers is hard. What we don’t realize is that God has a plan behind the scenes and His plan may not line up with our personal timeline or desire. Even knowing this as truth does not make it easier to be patient.
